The GM Mediaworks division of The Works negotiates and purchases all GM media representation, including television (broadcast and cable), radio, magazines, newspapers and Internet. GM Mediaworks’ objective is to leverage GM spending power to secure the highest-value, lowest-cost media, as well as to coordinate efforts across GM’s many brands for maximum promotional impact. GM Mediaworks also assists in providing media support for GM R*Works’ programs, including program-specific advertising and post-event follow-up activities.

GM Mediaworks increases the effectiveness of advertising through centralized negotiating and buying for all GM brands, US regions, media types, and media brands / sources.
By representing GM as a whole, as well as its various brands, GM Mediaworks can achieve significant volume cost savings, develop strong media partnerships and react rapidly to trends that influence public opinion and advertising strategies. GM Mediaworks is successful when the right audiences receive the right messages about GM and its brands, and when those messages ultimately drive sales and long-term brand loyalty.
